SrI Vaishnava Darshanam - Special Gallery has been Created

SrI:Dear All,http://www.pbase.com/svami/darshanamWith our SrI. L.Sridhar's

hardwork, we have got some wonderful & rarepictures from various divyadesams.As

the pictures of Acharyas and divyadampathi are from variousdivyadesams, we had

to create a new and SPECIAL gallery to arrangethese pictures.1. The first

section in this new gallery is on the 3 munigaL ofSrivaishnava darshanam.2. The

second Gallery is on SrI Hayagrivar.3. The third one which will be uploaded very

shortly (and you'll benotified) is on Periya PirATTi.Our Sincere thanks to SrI.

Sridhar svAmi, There is nothing much I can add from Guruparampara as you have

alreadyadded this.The summary is as follows:The king of that region viTTala

dhEvarAyan. His daughter was affectedmy mental illness .Sri ThoNdanUr Nambi on

finding this requsted Sri RAmAnuja to visit thepalace.After several requests

Udayavar entered the palace and blessedher with His srEpAdha thErtham and she

got cured and was restored with sanity.The king and his queen surrendered at

the feet of EmperumAnar andbecame His disciples. He as given a sreAvishNavite

name 'VishNu vardhan'.On hearing this, the jains who were the king's erstwhile

guru-s, became angry.They challenged that he should win over them in an

argument and then only take them as his disciples.About 12000 jains came for

argument simulataneoulsy. Sri RamAnuja was a bit perturbed because now He had

to reveal who He was. He sat behind a screen in the form of 1000 headed

Adhi-SEshan andgave multiple replies from behind the screen and won over them.

Someof them became his disciples.This great event took place in thoNdanUr at

the altars of nrshmhasvAmi sannidhi and here is the wonderful rare picture
