Guest guest
Some scholars identify Mandana misra with Visvarupa (Sureswara) and others make a distinction between the two. According to the Sankara Dig Vijayam (Madhava Vidyaranya), Mandana Misra, later became a sanyasi(Suresvara) under Sankara's influence... where as the Guruvamsa Kavyam of the Sringeri Math claim that they are two different persons. I invite the members of this group to share their views on this issue. Thanks, BGS

See particularly the foreword by P P Subrahmanya Sastri. Best regards, Vidyasankar
