Applicants must have the PhD, language teaching experience, literature teaching experience, and at least near-native ability in Hindi. Three undergraduate, semester-long courses in South Asian literature, taught in English, and three semester-long Hindi courses at the second- and third-year level will be taught. At least one of the literature courses should address gender studies in the area of South Asian literature. Candidates should send a letter, CV, sample descriptions of literature courses, and three letters of reference to Professor Robert A. Hueckstedt, Head of the Search Committee, AMELC, P.O.
