Guest guest
Dear fellow Indology members, With help from friends, I have set up a poll at the following website INDOLOGY/surveys?id=651401 asking the group's opinion on the following questions: "1. Should the members of the Indology@ constitute themselves as a self-governing organization for the academic discussion of issues related to classical India, contingent upon adoption of bylaws acceptable to thew group? "2. If so, should the first order of business be (a) to adopt our Founder and the behind-the-scenes experts' committee as our own, and to ask that they conduct their deliberations transparently and on-line; and (b) to frame bylaws establishing the purposes, scope, standards, rules, and administration of this group, so as to protect its academic value?" The choices are: Yes, create a self-governing group. No, leave it in the hands of others. Yes, request our experts' assistance. No, don't request expert assistance. Yes, adopt bylaws. No, do not adopt by laws. The poll will conclude May 2, 2001. David
