Maybe the low participation partly can be explained by people of low insight into the intricacies of the net like me being members. I tried in vain to vote: first I was denied access as not being a member of the Indology list (though I was on the mailing list), then I registered as a member with the effect that I got all messages twice. So I d again one of my two identities and am now where I was to begin with: being obviously a member of the mailing list, but being denied access to the inner recesses of Indology. As long as the archives are open to everybody, I am satisfied with the situation as it is, but I cannot participate in any poll.
