Guest guest
Dear list members, I'm looking for some good editions of the Vishnu Sahasranama to cross check a chanting book for misprints. Is their a critical edition of the Vishnu Sahasranama. Are their variations to it? Many thanks, Harry Spier 371 Brickman Rd. Guest guest
There are several editions in print. The main text is almost identical (as it should be). There may be stylistic differences in the choice of the invocation. 1.Sri Vishnu Sahasranama stotram (Commentary by Sri Sankara Bhagavatpada original with English translation, Published by Sri ishnu Sahasranama Satsangam, 82 Munirka VihAR,DDA SFS Flats, New Delhi 110067,1992. 2.Sr Ramakrishna Math, 16 Ramakrishna Math Rd.,Mylapore, Madras 600004. This edition should also be available throughout the US from any of the Vedanta society centers and Bookshops. 3.VS, with meaning and Index to Names, CentrAL Chinmaya Mission Trust, Powai Park Dr.,Bombay 400072. The Chinmaya Mission has several branches in the US (there is one in San Jose, CA) Kaushal INDOLOGY, "Harry Spier" <harryspier@H...> wrote: > Dear list members, > > I'm looking for some good editions of the Vishnu Sahasranama to cross check > a chanting book for misprints.
