A chapter in Agnipurana, called "Pushpadhyayakathanam" is replete

with flower symbolism with a clear Buddhist input. Here is one sample

sloka where Keshava is said to be pleased when offered eight types

of "spiritual" flowers:

 

Ahimsa prathamam pushpam pushpam indiriyanigraha

Sarvapushpam daya bhute pushpam shantir vishishyate

Shamah pushpam tapah pushpam dhyanam pushpam ca saptamam

Satyam ca eva ashtamam pushpam etaih tushyati keshavah
