I believe the weapon is still in use in some places (or has been in use until recently). I have to look very deeep into my memory, but I think that I have read some years ago that there are people in the Himalayas (or Nepal?) that use them (Gurkhas???). It doesn't return like a boomerang in real life, that seems to be the main difference. OK, this ain't much, but maybe it will be helpful nevertheless. Lars Martin Fosse Dr. art.
