Guest guest
Hello all list members, I would like to find out exactly what kind of weapon it was. The traditional picture we (fellow hindus) have is of a small ring with jagged edge swirling automatically around Krishna's finger. He uses it by pointing (or throwing) it towards somebody. After making its kill it comes back to Krishna (like a boomerang). Do we have any archeological eveidence of such a weapon. I would appreciate any info. Thanks, Sanjay
Guest guest
There are several speciments of the chakra as a war weapon in the National Museum of History at Delhi. The specific example that I recall were used by Sikhs in battles and were made of iron. They were just metal disks, with plain, sharp edges were similar in appearance to 'Saturn's Rings'.
