Guest guest
The Sikh historical armament on display in 1961 at the Golden Temple in Amritsar included thin, razor-edged disks of steel about 6-8" in diameter but with a hollow center, the flat outer portion or ring being no more than 1-2" wide. These were intended to be spun on one's finger (or a stick?) to high speed, then launched off it like a missile toward the enemy, whose heads and arms it was reported to cut off with ease. Larger versions also were used. I believe this dated from the period of their Gurus, but it sounds similar to the weapon described.
