Guest guest Posted May 20, 2001 Report Share Posted May 20, 2001 Dear list members, At the end of each chapter of the K.S.T.S. edition of Abhinavagupta's Tantrasara there is a verse in Prakrit followed by a Sanskrit gloss in the notes at the bottom of the page. Can any of the members give me any information about these verses such as: 1) What is the reason for including the verse in Prakrit? Is it a quote by Abhinavagupta from another source? 2) Is the Sanskrit gloss from the manuscripts (i.e. from Abhinavagupta, from a commentator or from the editors?) 3) Is it possible to identify what Prakrit it is?
