Guest guest
Please try to separate true Islam from Islam practised by Turkish (wolf) emperor Aurangajeb and todays Mullahs whoes one hand is on long beard and other on the licence of the liqueur shops. Dr.Muzammil H.Siddiqi writes regular articles on Islam in the weekly "Pakistan Link" published from California. In one of his articles, it was mentioned that Prophet (pbuh) used to wear saffron color clothes from time to time......... Islam got its green color when the grandson Hasan of Prophet turned green when died after poisoned by his wife. Prophet (pbuh) used to kiss Hasan on lips and Hussain on neck. When asked the resason he used to say leave few things to me, I could not explain all to you. Prophet(pbuh) knew the future of his grandsons. The grand son Hussain was killed by the hit of sword on his neck on the most auspicious day of Ashura (hindu-Vijaya-Dashami and Jewish Yom Kippur). Hazarat Hussain wanted to go to India and live there but destiny was different and could not be avoided. Arabs had good knowledge about the ancient Hindu India as evidenced by the praise of Hindu India by both Prophet and his son-in-law, Ali, the fourth Caliph. I do have cutting of Pakistan Link in my library. But over more than 20 years the library become so big it takes more than 2 weeks to find the reference. This article is written to indicate True Islam is different from Islam practiced by Taliban in Afghanistan. Please do not write anything derogatory about Prophet and his wives. Please separate dirty politics of division of India from Islam. Prophet did not divide India. Imperialistic British rulers of India divided India. Guest guest
Dr. Narayan R Joshi has raised some important questions. Many other intellectuals have also said that what the Talibans practice is not "true Islam". To understand the difference, it would be useful if Dr. Joshi would give some example of countries where true Islam is practiced (perhaps periods during which true islam was practiced). Is the Islam practiced in Saudi Arabia today "true Islam"? Can he identify classical Islamic authors whose work represents true Islam. I agree that we should not say anything derogatory about Prophet (PBUH) and his wives. But one asks - is the Prophet (PBUH) beyond criticism? Are historians free to study his life critically? If he is beyond criticism, should we insist that other holy men (say Baha'u'llah, Dayananda Sarasvati, Mirza Ghulam Qadiyani, Adi Sankaracharya) are also beyond criticism? People say that Ayesha, daughter of the Prophet's PBUH)foster brother, was 6 when she married. It is believed that he married his adopted son Zayd's wife, after she was divorced. Was the Jewish slave girl Zainab who poisoned the Prophet (PBUH) married to him? (I am not sure, I think he did have a Jewish wife). Is discussion of his marriages appropriate for the students of history (in an appropriate forum, not here)? I think a well intended critical study of distinguished individuals would be appropriate. I am curious to know what others think. Rustam .... Auctions - buy the things you want at great prices http://auctions./

Your method is not only discourteous to Muslims, but, worse, deliberately so. I object. Speak with courtesy and restraint or speak not at all, imho. The same rules for all.
