Guest guest
Dear list members, I have recently put online some 50 historical documents from Rajasthan (dating from about 1695-1720 AD). The documents contain reports sent by the ambassadors of the Jaipur/Amber-state to their rulers and give first-hand information on the events at the Mughal court. You can find the documents alongwith some basic information on the writing systems, paleography etc. of these letters at the URL : "http://www.mathias-metzger.de/rajasthani/" Best regards, Mathias Metzger

Jaipur was founded in Nov 1727, thus these documents are from the Amber period. How were these acquired? I hope more such documents will eventually become available.
