Guest guest
Dear list members, The first verse of Abhinavagupta's Tantrasara: vimalakalAzrayAbhinavasRSTimahA jananI bharitatanuzca paJcamukhaguptarucirjanakaH | tadubhayayAmalasphuritabhAvavisargamayaM hRdayamanuttarAmRtakulaM mama saMsphuratAt || is also the first line of his parAtrIzikAvivaraNa , and I see from Rastogi's Introduction to the Tantraloka page 31 that this is also the first verse of his Tantraloka and his mAlinI-vijaya-vArtika. Can any of the list members give some insight into why Abhinavagupta might have started these four of his works with the same verse? Many thanks, Harry Spier 371 Brickman Rd.
