Guest guest
Well, I was wrong about Nepalese royalty. But ignorance cuts both ways : >But again, differently from the present cultural wars in India, >note that Nepal was & is confident enough with its Hinduism >(and Buddhism, local tribal religions, Islam!) to tolerate Christian >schools and sending their best people there -- no fear of >"loosing out" to Christianity. India too has plenty of Christian schools and colleges, and plenty of people, mostly the elite, go to these. Do you need a list ? I interpret the cultural war in India as being about the non-elite going to Christian schools or otherwise being provided for by Christian missionaries -- the elite have been going to Christian schools for decades and maintaining their Hinduism or other -isms. Of course, there are those who say that the products of these schools are Macaulayites. -Arun Gupta
