They cover the period to 1997 and contain 824 numbers. I.e.: Jong, Jan W. de: Bibliography 1949-1986. Guest guest
Dear Prof. Ganesan, unfortunately I can't find the reference to Prof. de Jong's respective publication anymore. But he has written no article on the topic in question anyway. I simply alluded to a casual remark he made in one of his last reviews. He only expressed the hope, that the younger German Indologists will do some research work on Indology in the Third Reich. That's all. But I'll try to find the review (it can't be too complicated, if I look for it in our library) and tell you then. I guess, the Hindutva fundamentalists will somehow manage to abuse even this message for a further bizarre attack on me or , more probably, on other better known scholars like George Thompson, Michael Witzel and so on, or on any of the many, many persons, religions or ethnic entities they hate. But I don't care anymore. They don't need a special occasion for speaking their "language of nationalism", or to say it in a more straightforward manner, their language of hatred. Guest guest
The more I try to sit on the outside and observe, the harder it becomes. Eurocentric, racist, and goodness knows what other isms and ists, keep intruding so as to make it almost impossible to read postings. One gentleman respectfully asks for specific information of a scholarly nature and immediately someone, who cannot supply an answer to the request, begins a racist tirade. Someone who, by the way, does not seem to have made enough postings to even warrant the so called abuse he claims will be hurled at him. If one were to automatically block messages containing these racist references, one would find very few *Indologists* of non-Indian origins being read. All this makes one wonder an awful lot on all the claims of the *scholarship* need to be a bona fide Indologist we hear so much about. ---- Ramadas - Martin Delhey I guess, the Hindutva fundamentalists will somehow manage to abuse even this message for a further bizarre attack on me or , more probably, on other better known scholars like George Thompson, Michael Witzel and so on, or on any of the many, many persons, religions or ethnic entities they hate.
