Dear List members,

IGNCA (Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, New

Delhi) website(www.ignca.nic.in) now offers low

resolution pictures of more than 1600 paintings by

noted Hungarian painters Elizabeth Sass Brunner and

Elizabeth Brunner, the mother and the daughter. They

came to Shanti Niketan in 1929 and made India their

home. They painted nature, people, portraits of

leaders (incl Gandhi), cosmic visions, Budha, Shiva

and various others themes. We will add another 300+

paintings on the website very soon. Painting title

etc. will also be added later. We are also preparing a

Multimedia CDROM on there works.

List members may enjoy these paintings and many other

interesting visual as well as textual resources at the

our website.
