Shakas and Hunas were in their respective places in Asia well before 1000

BCE and Indians knew them. This knowledge has nothing to do with Hunic

and Shaka incursions after 1AD in the subcontinent. Persians knew Shaka

and Hun and Tokharians around 500 BCE. By what name the Greeks are

referred to in Mahabharat? If they are referred by the name Yavana, it

has nothing to do with Alexander of 326 BCE . This is so because Persians

in 500 BCE knew Yavanas, so Indians also knew Yavanas before Alexander.

INdians were in contact with Persians since India's trade used to go

through the Persian Gulf (called by different name at that time). If

Greeks are referred to by another name, then please let us know what that

name is and how do decide the name meant Greeks.Thanks. N.R.Joshi.
