Guest guest Posted July 16, 2001 Report Share Posted July 16, 2001 dear friends, why can't the ancient Meluhha be identified with the western coast of india. it had the name of 'malaya ' from ancient times. why can't magan be identified with present day maharashtra. the people of maharashtra had the name of 'maatharas'during satavahana times.
