In the example below (from the original post) you can see that the URL (uni-

versal resource locator) is split into three lines, due to line-length

formatting

in the mail program:

This particular URL might look okay because it appears to end in "frame,"

but it is actually supposed to end in "frameset.htm."

 

Only the first line (highlighted in blue) shows up in the web browser when

clicked on. The other lines have to be copied manually and imported to

the browser's address box.

 

When you click on the blue line it activates your web browser but ends up at

a "can't find it" page. I usually hit ESCAPE right away to stop that, then

paste in the rest of URL and hit ENTER.
