Guest guest
A recent book by prof. R. Eaton deals with raids on temples. In old India it was directed towards the temples of the tutelary deity of the royal family. A type of Devaraja concept is evident in Kapileshvaram by King Kapilendra, Rajarajesvaram by Rajaraja Chola, etc. Recently saw the two URLs appended below, N. Ganesan (PS: editor breaks the line, have the second line also included in the URL to read) ----------------------------- Sanctified Vandalism As A Political Tool by Yoginder Sikand We have been fed with constant propaganda that the destruction and desecration of places of worship is a fine art mastered by the Muslims -- but, what about the Hindus and others? http://www.outlookindia.com/full.asp?sid=1&fname=temples&fodname=20010 823 Vandalism Sanctified By Scripture by Koenrad Elst A response to Sanctified Vandalism As A Political Tool which had argued that propaganda to the contrary notwithstanding, Hindus and Muslims alike have been equally guilty of destroying places of worship http://www.outlookindia.com/full.asp?sid=1&fodname=20010831&fname=elst
