Guest guest
Yesterday at 9 pm, in BBC Channel 4, there was a TV program caleld 'Lost Kingdoms of the Ice age' by George Hancock. This was the 2nd part. GH is fairly convinced that before the polar ice cap melted at about 11000 BC and inundated large parts of the earth, there were civilizations and these are remembered in legends. Yesterday's program was devoted to India and he took two areas; coast off Tamilnadu and Guf of cambay. The first part dealt with Malta since Malta was part of the land mass connecting Africa and Europe and he placed Plato's Atlantis near Malta Unlike orthodox Indologists , he gives credence to Kumari Kandam and Matsya Purana. Taking them as true, he goes underwater searching for lost cities and human settlements. In India he takes the help of National Oceanographic Institute scientists who are already on tne problem. Last November, these Indian scientists , by chance found remnants of what could be vast lost cities in the Gulf of cambay. It should be kept in mind that according to geological computer projections, before 11000 BC, Srilanka was a continuous land mass from South India and the land areas extended much further hundreds of miles into the sea. So is the case with Gujarat coast which extended hundreds of miles into the sea before 11000 BC He, along with the Indian scientists, dived about 3 kms off Poompuhar. Under 75 feet, they did find what could be parts of a wall and the computer projections showed what could be a sacred enclosure. These are early days of marine archoelogy off TN coast. He spent half an hour on the recent marine Archeological findings in the Gulf of cambay and the other half on the coast off Tamilnadu. In the Gulf of Cambay, there are indications as to what could be two large sister cities the size of Manhattan each If large human settlements are indeed proved under water, this will be revolution in Indology and all the earlier assumptions about the datings will have to go out of the window.
