Guest guest
>Yesterday at 9 pm, in BBC Channel 4, there was a TV program >caleld 'Lost Kingdoms of the Ice age' by George Hancock. This was the >2nd part. Some readers may be already be aware of the TV celebrity Hancock who has already given us the 11,000 years old Sphinx, among other marvels. Readers are well advised to counterbalance any such claims of "Alternative Archaeology" --among the mesolithic hunter-gatherers!-- by checking out the (non-Indological) "Hall of Ma'at" list that has a constant Hancock watch. http://www.maat.paradoxdesigns.com/ There, you can learn what really happens on the ocean floor of Cambay, among other things... For other creative re-inventions of the past, from the Indus to China and Japan, see: http://www.umass.edu/wsp/methodology/antiquity/index.html Enjoy! Guest guest
Dear Prof. Witzel, Greetings. Don't know whether Vijayaraghavan knows Tamil at all, have not seen any reference to old text or academic publication. No wonder the journalist Hancock who goes by the sayings of Frawley, N. S. Rajaram, ... is fully embraced by him to push back the dates of RV (1200-1000 BCE). Now that N. S. Rajaram, a B. E. degree holder from BMS college of Bangalore, is on the ICHR board, more of these TV programs will follow saying it's from BBC. Pl see, http://www.hindustantimes.com/nonfram/210202/detFRO03.asp BTW, I attended the Tata institute (IISc) founded by C. V. Raman. Kind regards, N. Dear Ganesan The TV program was in English and hence knowledge of Tamil was not relavant to understand the program > > No wonder the journalist Hancock who goes by the > sayings of Frawley, N. S. I don't see how you can conclude I fully embrace Hancock's ideas. > > Now that N. S. Rajaram, a B.
