Guest guest
Dear list members, I have to compile a complete list of the volumes of the Kashmir Series of Texts and Studies (KSTS). I have "A Descriptive Analysis of The Kashmir Series of Texts and Studies" and have been comparing this to the on-line catalogues of the Library of Congress and of the New York Public Library Oriental Collections. If any list members can clarify any of the following discrepencies it might save me a trip into New York City. 1. I couldn't find the following volumes in either the catalogues of the Library of Congress, the New York Public Library or the Descriptive Analysis of the Kashmir Series of Texts and Studies. Can anyone tell me what Vol.s 25, 27, 32, 80, 81, 83, and 85 contain or if they were somehow left out of the series? 2. The Library of Congress, the NYPL Oriental collections on-line catalogue and the "Descriptive Analysis of the Kashmir Series of Texts and Studies" all list two different vol. 31 's. a) The Malinivijaya Vartikkam of Abhinavagupta. and b) Vol. 1 Svacchanda-tantra with commentary by Kshemaraja. Are there actually two separate vol. 31's in the series as above? 3. The "Descriptive Analysis of the Kashmir Series of Texts and Studies" has two different entries for Vol. 2. a) Kashmir Shaivaism by J.C. Chatterjee. b) Hindu Realism by J.C. Chatterjee. The Library of Congress and the NYPL only list Kashmir Shaivaism as Vol. 2 and list Hindu Realism as published by the "Indian Press". Was Hindu Realism published as part of the series and if so which vol.? Many thanks in advance, Harry Spier 371 Brickman Rd.
