Guest guest
Friends: I am editing a monograph on The Romantic Heroiones (nayika) of India and would be delighted to hear from anyone who would like to contribute to this. This is to be a visual and scholarly (not coffee table) book covering every aspect of the nayika. Regards. Harsha V. Dehejia Professor of Religion, Careton University Ottawa, ON. Canada. Guest guest
I could not make head or tail of the message quote below until a friend drew my attention to a message, by the same Internet writer, on the Indo-European list Cybalist: cybalist/message/13101 In fact, the Y-Indology msg (quoted below) is a much shortened and sanitized version of the Cybalist one (especially its latter part). This includes, apart from the usual tangential effusions and ad hominems, even actual slander & libel of a colleague. This has been before with another colleague and the writer had to apologize in public (see IndianCivilization list, around Oct. 29/30, 2000). Just to let you know with whom you are dealing here. No answer necessary to the skewed and factually incorrect account below. And certainly no imagined 'defense' or apology from me for characterizing NS Rajaram's "scientific" work or his political activities (see Rajaram in the chauvinistic "Sword of Truth" web site, or the (right wing) party journal, "Organiser" among others).
