I don't have it with me, but doesn't Matilal use this term in his

Navya-Nyaya Doctrine of Negation? If so, that is the first use I can think

of.

For avacchedaka see "Navya Nyaya System of Logic" by D.C. Guha. All of

chapter 1.

I wanted to know who first came up with the word

delimitor for avacchedaka. The emphasis is on FIRST.

 

The date I am looking for is somewhere between 1899

[MW's Sanskrit Dictionary does not have delimitor as a

meaning of avacchedaka] and 1922 [Dasgupta's History

of Indian Philosophy].
