Guest guest
The kAyagatAsati is a 'Buddhist meditation' on the 32 constituent parts of the human body. Prior to buddhaghosa (d. ca. 500), who expounds upon its method in the visuddhimagga, the kAyagatAsati was mentioned or referred to in the sutta-piTaka and in the abhidhamma-piTaka (viz., the aGguttara-nikAya, the vibhaGga, and perhaps others). Query: I am interested in finding out if there are 'like-meditations' on the human body, which predate the Pali canon. Thanks in advance, Tim Lighthiser
