After successful conventions at Nasik (2001) and Bhatkuli-Amaravati

(2002), Third Convention of Maharashtra Jain Itihas Parishad will be

held on 25th and 26th January 2003 at Kankavali in Sindhudurg

district in south konkan (Maharashtra).

This region was ruled by Jain Kings (Shilahars) and there are many

interesting places including ancient Jain Mandirs to visit in this

area.

Kankavali is central place for Konkan, South Maharashtra, Goa and

Karnatak. You can reach Kankavali by train from Mumbai and Goa or by

bus from all major cities of Western Maharashtra and North Karnatak

and Goa.

If you want to participate in the convention as a scholar or as just

a visitor, please let us know your postal address. It will help us to

send you invitation card. Send to: msanglikar or just make

a phone call on 0251-404149 (Shrenik Annadate, Editor Teerthankar)
