Guest guest
Not only do the Maadhyamaka and the Advaita teach the cessation of all action (karma) as a necessary pre-requisite for liberation, so have I noticed the Saamkya and the Nyaaya to endorse the same thing. Jainaas consider the removal of karma from the self to be necessary for liberation - but for Jainaas unlike other schools karma is a physical entity. Though whether it has any implications towards action I'm not too sure. I'd be grateful for specific pointers as to how other darshanas considered silence/inaction - Jainaas, Hinayaanists, the bhakti schools etc. Advance thanks for all suggestions/clarifications.
