Most known lists prepared by famous epigraphists and sanskritologists in the first part of XX century - by F. Kielhorn (Epigraphia Indica v. V), H.Luders (EI v. X) and D.R. Bhandarkar (EI v. XIX-XXI). Important that these authors read inscriptions. These lists, certainly, have become outdated, but anything more serious is not created yet. Besides brief abstracts of inscriptions are published in Annual Reports of Epigraphy of Archaeol. Survey of India. I do not know - whether the uniform register of inscriptions is conducted. Most likely - "register" - essense of publication of ARE ASI. In the net (as I know) you can found only my site with a few "collections" of inscriptions (www.indepigr.narod.ru/index_1.htm) -- Best regards, Lielukhine D.N. Oriental Institute. Moscow.
