Really! Has it been preserved? What a shame if this interesting hoax has

survived while so much else has perished. I imagine, based on what I know

about the Jesuits, that their forgery might not have been completely

without literary merit. But I can't imagine what its content might have

been: Jesus boasting that he has drunk the soma? What's the passage in

the

Psalms that describes God as 'like a man that shouteth by reason of strong

drink' or something, and says that he 'smiteth the foe in the hinder

parts'. The Old Testament God could cut a pretty indric figure.
