How do Indologists proof if a document is genuine or not ?

I am so tired of everybody (historians as well as indologists) say one

cannot proof or disprove "The Mahatma Letters " are concocted or not.

 

So for once I have brought up the matter on "Indiancivilisation" list. It is

a rather pro-Annie Besant list, but it has more then seven hundred

people. People have been able to show the "protocols" have been

concocted why for the historical record can one not show this

concerning The Mahatma Letters ? If anybody can show this by giving

concrete examples why, pls post in answer to:
