Curiously the sthaapatya veda as upaveda is not mentioned above.

What of itihaasa, puraaNa? (are they too upaveda of atharvaNa?). Both

is mentioned in second last anuvaaka of TB starting with

sarvaan diva{\m+} sarvaan devan divi. ....

The above mantra (gaurii mimaaya) occurs as a R^icaa in RV 1.164.41

aarya samaj translation does not talk about the exact details of the

vidyaa.

>From the above, how can we derive the 18 vidyaa from navapadii. If not

what exactly are the 18 vidyaa. Of course the question oof 64 kalaa

remain: Which is the oldest reference? (As I understand, it occurs in

devii bhaagavatam, shiva tantra and kaama suutra).

Any further / additional information will be treasured gratefully.

VA: 4 Vedas + 6 Vedangas + Nyaya + Mimamsa + Purana + Dharmashastra.

To this are added 4 Upavedas: Gandharva, Ayurveda, Arthashastra and

Dhanurveda. Sthapatya is typically excluded.

VA: Again, the list is not unique. Another text that lists the 64

kalaas is Sukranitisaara.
