Romila Thapar's 'Early India' [2002] - A Review

Recently, Prof Romila Thapar of JNU brought out a book titled 'Early

India, from origins to 1300 AD'. An extensive review of a few of its

chapters by Kalavai Venkat is now available on the IndiaStar ezine at

The review is heavily annotated, and largely focusses on her

interpretation and presentation of Harappan, Vedic and Tamil cultures.
