Dear list members,

 

Dr. Kocchars question about the two forms of Ganesh images has got me

wondering if this might be part of a larger pattern where you have two forms

of an item of worship. Where one form is powerful but somewhat dangerous

and needs to be propitiated in a very specific manner, and another form

slightly
