Guest guest Posted September 11, 2003 Report Share Posted September 11, 2003 Dear Rajesh, What I have been told is that when the trunk turns to Ganesha's right it is the "tantric" image for Ganesha and he needs to be worshipped in a VERY specific manner or the results will rebound on the worshipper, but when the trunk turns to Ganesha's left you needn't be so specific in how you worship him. I think (but am not sure) that this is mentioned in John Grimes book on Ganesha titled "Ganapati" from SUNY press. Regards, Harry Harry Spier 371 Brickman Rd.
