David Magier SARAI http://www.columbia.edu/cu/lweb/indiv/southasia/cuvl ======== POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Assistant Professor of South Asian Religions (Dept. of Religion, Wake Forest University) Wake Forest University, Department of Religion, invites applications for a full-time tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in South Asian religions, beginning Fall semester, 2004. The area of specialization is open, but teaching competency in the Hindu religious traditions is required. Teaching responsibilities (five courses per year) include Introduction to Religion (teaching experience preferred) and introductory/upper-level courses in South Asian religions. The department encourages applicants with competency in interdisciplinary approaches to the study of religion, particularly ritual studies. Qualifications include Ph.D. (or near completion) and demonstrated skills in teaching. The department has ten regular faculty and offers BA, BA (honors), and MA degrees in religion.
