I would also like to know who is the deity it is addressed to and a little bit of background information. Can it be used in daily prayer? The song mentions Mahendra and Malaya (Pothikai) mountains, and the Agastya muni. M.S. Subbulakshmi's rendition is famous. Regards, N.
