Dear Agustin

 

tasya is the genitive singular masculine/neuter of the third person

pronoun (or demonstrative adjective), so 'of him/of it/of that' etc.

The final t of abhavat is voiced before a vowel or voiced consonant

at the start of the next word (an example of sandhi).

 

I have tried in the past to reply to your Sanskrit queries off-list,
