Dear Madhav,

I have heard of this verse as coming from Hara-datta, which fits the fact

that Hara-datta does write such verses in the Pada-ma;njarii (eva.m

praka.tito 'smaabhir bhaa.sye paricaya.h para.h / tasya ni.h;se.sato manye

pratipattaapi durlabha.h // would be an example). However, I need to check

the PM text carefully to be certain.
