Dear list members,

I have seen a translation by a Pandit of a Sanskrit verse where he

translates a series of "eva"s as if they were a series of "iti".

I.e. he translates: X eva Y eva Z eva

as "X","Y","Z"

Are there places in the literature that "eva" is used this way.

Many thanks,

Harry

the word "eva"is commonly used as"and" in english,so X eva Y eva Z

will be written as X and

Y and Z,or mathematically X+Y+Z
