Guest guest
srigants post .. cont'd
--------------------------

The posts on love & Sadhna are really awesome. I am very proud of the greatest gems in our Sadhna club. Love again, if it is going to be without any expectations, it is appreciable. That is only called as "Nish Kamya Bakthi". Again divine love is of three types:

1. Vathsalya Bhavam - like a mother who loves a child eg. Mira Bhai
2. Dasya Bhavam - like a fan who loves or admires a hero eg.
Thyagaraja,Kanaka Dasa,Purandara Dasa,Rama Dasa...
3. Prema Bakthy or Nayaka Nayaki Bhavam - like a lover who loves for her love - eg. Mira Bhai, 1008 Gopikas,Alvars & Nayanmars.
In Tamil, there are a series of songs called "Thirupavai" & "Thiruvempavai". These were originally sung by male saints. But they take the
role of a female & call their friends to praise the Lord in the holy month of "Dahnu or Markazhi".Actually, the Gopikas of Brindavanam did the Kathyayani Vrutham, to attain Sri Krishna in the month of "Dhanu", which Andal followed, to attain Sri Ranganatha. Andal, who was actually an
incarnation of Bu Devi, sung the 30 songs(ThiruPavai) & did the Pavai Nonbu, in the banks of Cauvery & finally she became one(with her Butha Shareera) with Lord Ranganatha on the Makara Sankaranthi day. Love, just like sex, if it is not elevated toeards, Divinity, there is no use. Even Nammalvar. who was an incarnation of the Senai Mudhaliar or the commander in chief of Lord Vishnu's army, tkaes the role of a lady & names himself "Parankusha Nayaki", while he sings his hymns on Lord Vishnu at Thiru Kurungudi in his Periya Thiru Mozhi!!Such is the greatness of Prema Bakthy. This kind of bakthy covers the other two types as, being one's life partner, we play the roles of both a mother while taking care of one's husband & also a fan, while admiring the heroic deeds of one's husband!! Such is the greatness of Prema Bakthy.

If, two lovers are going to exchange kisses in a prak, illegally without the knowledge of their parents, it would lead to sin rather than
towards Sadhna or realization. "Love", means the true love, which we do for the Almighty to reach him!!!

Also, love could be taken as the compassion or kindness for all other creatures & treating all creatures as the children of ALmighty.

srigant

....cont'd
