Guest guest
The gods of hindusim have succesfully created enough confusion in the minds of all that come across it.Even more succesfully they have created enough conflicts amongst the hindus themselves.
There is a story of an aethiest who preached throughout his life that neither god nor soul existed, praying at the last moment of his life thus: O 'god, if there is a god, save my soul, if there is one!!. It may look odd , this story, but it reveals the human need ( Psychological need) necesity for gods.

In terms of hindusim , the concept of God in hindusim is such that the scriptures does not depend on one ( single) scripture. The point being, the entire body of its philosophical literature accepts the Upanishads and Bhagavad gita!. The concept of god starts from the the world he lives in, in which he lives and moves. So, the god is hindusim, when one looks at it from this angle , is the Creator!. But understand that he creates the world not out of illogical, but out of himself.
At the end of of this cycle of creation where the individual goes throuihg many phases of 'rewards' and 'punishments'- hindusim advocates the cyclic 'theory' of creation - he withdraws( goes in himself) the entire world order- into the self. So it is thus the self that is this god. Unless we know the self we will not know this' god'. . then there is the concept of god that is known as infinite or
brahman it defies all sorts of defintions, it is beyond words, but it is what we go through as ' not this way ' lets do it this way' the 'right' worng phases which we go through in life, the learning of what iIS!
hinduism is basically summed up in the word sat - chit - ananda or also known as Existence- consciousness - bliss.
A thinking mind and a feeling heart- that is what the human being is.

regards
Guest guest
You are very right gypsyqueenb. I have seen mostly these Hare Krishna people try to project themselves as the only saviours of Hinduism Particularly the neo-converts, who have read only a part of Hinduism. One such Bhakta is trying to prove Krishna as supreme with the help of Sankhya Yoga, a philosophy of Hinduism, which does not accept the presence of God even. I think he has only heard the name not read the philosophy. If we go by his words, Shankryacharya, Vivekananda,Paramhansa ramakrishana, Yogananada, Guru Nanak, Christ, Buddha and all like them were fake because they did not worship Krishna ? I think they should grow up a little.

I have never seen a shiva Bhakta, or durga Bhakta or Hanuman bhakta saying all others are wrong. I am a shiva bhakta but take Krishna as another form of Shiva, the supreme God.

and you are right when you say, Gods do not create confusions. The men are creating confusions. somewhere they are rejecting others faith in name of Hare Krishna, somewhere they are breaking Statues of Buddhas in the name of Islam.
will we ever grow up ?

Om namah shivaye
Guest guest
Gypsy and vinod, am in full agreement with you.
But there are very few other than hindus(real ones !) who percieve as a fact that

"As many sadhaks, that many paths"

Hasn't the presence of so many gods and phlosophies in fact helped us to understand this as a true fact ? Upon very careful observation one can also find a common thread running thru all these, the absolute truth of the observer(shiva) and energy(his shakti)?
One may find the truth more plausible from his particular angle because his past is uniquely different from others.
So I wouldn't mind a Krishna Bhakta writing about HIS love for Krishna for there is so much to learn from his passion for the ishta, but indeed a problem arises when the writer tries to imply the sole validity of his approach over so many others.
I have stopped waiting for some answer for my straightforward questions posted sometime ago.
A stony silence ..... why indeed ?
