Guest guest
Shame on you mayesvaraji!!!
While it is perfectly acceptable to most here to request time to respond to HONEST questions (i think the best of people), it is uncalled for to point fingers at "The subject matter of the absolute truth is not something that I am inclined to banter about whimsically as it appears the other members of this interest group are in the habit of doing." Who are you speaking of and what makes you believe it is whimsy that drives their postings? {i hope you do not possess siddhi powers, (ulp)!)

"it appears that many of you are resolute in your current understanding and show little interest in engaging in a serious philosophical discussion unless it concurs with your current level of awareness." Are you exempt from this accusation? It appears that you are of the position' It is my way or the highway.' This is only my opinion and i am not very bright myself.

"The orthodox Shivite who wears only ashes and live in solitude is not even slightly similar to the erudite Vaishnava who writes profound literature to help guide the conditioned soul back to Godhead." In fact there are many shavite publications in this world today both ancient as well as current. And yes, they (shavites) may wear ashes, but not all are ascetics. The same is true for vaishnavas of all the disciplic successions. Not all vaishnavas are babajis meditating alone in bhajan kutirs as you may well note. Personally, i am hard pressed to find any literature from Gaurakisora Babaji who found ‘wannabe’ initiates so irritating to his bhajan that he meditated inside an outhouse in order to avoid them. No, do not misunderstand me though, i believe his bhava sincere and without reproach. My point is that the search for Godhead is not, like the universities, a "publish or perish" environment.

"Such thoughts may be comforting to the lazy or pseudo-spiritualist, but they are absurd to even a common man what to speak of an individual who is rigorous in his pursuit of the absolute truth." There is, to my knowledge, no pseudo-spiritualists within this forum and i can assure you that they are by no means lazy. The rigorous student observes a problem at all angles and does not accept the authority of someone without performing his or her own analysis within their hearts for its validity.

Prabhuji! Lord Caitanya never spoke to the Mayavadi sannyasis in the manner you spoke to this forum today. His words and mannerisms were always pleasant and respectful to the person despite His strongly disagreeing with their doctrine. His honesty and humility were the characteristics that provoked the masses to 'ask Him questions of His joy and spiritual ecstasy.' Happiness is contagious not philosophy.

The rest of us are just 'gradual-progressors' in our quest for God and this is nothing for anyone in this forum to be ashamed of. You do remind us that you have valuable information for the forum but you add that those who resist it are ‘lazy’ or ‘pseudo.’ I am reminded of the great rishi Shakespeare, who in the play Hamlet wrote "Rich gifts wax poor when givers prove unkind." - Ophelia

om tat sat

> - A fellow Krsna bhaktin

P.S. i corrected your spelling mistakes, i hope you are not offended.

P.S.S Friends! I leave you with a quote from Mahabharata, "It is very difficult to understand the secret of religion, but one who follows in the footsteps of the great authorities, or mahajanas, will be successful." (Vana-parva 313.117) Dont give up!!!! Please!!
