Guest guest
The feeling of separation is an extraordingry feeling. It is a rasa that evokes even more emotions than that of meeting. There are many epics of many nations that tell of a cruel separation between the hero and the heroine. These stories are so sweet even though they evoke tears in our eyes and are difficult to put the book down for other matters. There is sweetness within pain. Our pratical experiences within life give creedance to that subtle matter.

Krsna prem is like that. Outwardly is is extremely painful but from within we feel joy unmeasured. Then to compound that feeling we may meet others who have the same nature and likemindeness as we have. We give each other solace and that exponentiates the emotions to the nth degree!

Though we are advised to prepare for separation it is not as cruel as feared. When we meet unfavorable circumstances, we must not become discouraged. Caitanya Mahaprabhu advised us,
"So, you come to search for Krsna? Krsna is not a sweetball from the sweetwalla which you purchase and finish off so easily!! You are trying to attain the highest of the high so you must be prepared for anything."

Srimati Radha (the queen of the gopinis) was able to suffer the separation of Her Lord Krsna with the help of the gopinis, the cowherdesses of Vrindavana. Likewise for us, Sadhu sanga, the association with saints, is the most important and valuable thing for us all. Good association is our greatest wealth in reaching the supreme goal.

om tat sat

a "bhaktin wannabe"

>:*)
