Guest guest
Belief arised naturally from direct experience. This is how we are taught the nature of things. But in the respect of God, we must turn this natural order around, we can only see the infinite by believing?

Yes folks, belief CAN give us that spiritual experience. We are so surrounded by the Infinite that it is a wonder that anyone does not always experience it! It is not that we need to experience the Infinite, it is rather that we need assurance that everything is ok. That we can relax and just let go.

Belief can also be the catalyst for the transcendental experiences that takes on our puny conceptual mind and blows our logic to smithereens. So dear lucideye, if believing that God is this HUGE "Lutscher" (lollypop) that blows my mind into samadhi, well, Kool, nicht Wahr?

But all of a sudden this lollypop is taking the centerplace of my living room and wants me to introduce It to all my friends!!! We get content of the belief mixed up with the proces of believing. We confuse the samadhi with the particular paradox that happened to cause it. Here is where conflicting beliefs come in and then the religious flamewars! Is that lollopop green or yellow?

Dont bother to ask me if i believe in Brahman cause there is no right answer because it is the wrong answer. Belief does not matter. To know God and attain realization-moksha, you do not have to believe anything!!! God realization-moksha just happens!!!

Belief is most effective when it defies logic. When we realize that 'we' are not our bodies that are born and die. When we hear of miracles we think "we got the ticket to ride" when in fact the transendental kingdom of God is experientially here and now and most important open to all Hindu and non-Hindu alike. The point is, faith and belief are two different things.

Faith is practical and a form of trust so basic that we do not need to think about it. It is faith that lets us drive down the autobahn each day without going crazy that someone will cross the median line and plow into us. Certainly you dear lucideye can agree with that analogy, Ist das nicht doch Wahr?

Faith is unconditional in its highest form. You dont need to know that Lord Krsna danced with the gopis or that Lord Jesus rose from the dead. This is the 'peace of God that surpassith all understanding." It allows us to 'let go' and free fall into God's loving arms.

om tat sat

>:*)
