Free will, extempore

Like a story I see my past, still being

written<br>So many 'chance' meetings and events <br>have shaped

me into what I am<br>I did not have a choice to be

born,<br>at such and such place,<br>Then onwards, things

happened and I kept choosing<br>apparently freely choosing

!<br><br>Got a lurking suspicion though now,<br>what makes me

'freely choose' a salad<br>over a steak ?<br>what makes

my friend 'freely choose' a steak<br>over a salad

?<br><br>Suspect that it is my past and nothing but my

past<br>that is choosing the salad <br>the past being fixed,

there is obviously no choice<br>and I live in the

delusion of freely choosing what I have<br><br>Why then,

when my friend's unchangeable past<br>chooses a

'prophecy' over 'hindu mumbo jumbo'<br>does he insist that

it is his free choice,<br>while he was bound to

choose that,<br>for his past was not mine<br><br><br>By

the way who is this "God" so often (vainly?)

mentioned in so many posts???<br>If you ask me, I don't

know, I really DON'T KNOW ?<br>Then how can I even know

what he will or what he won't ?<br>All I have to show

for my 'knowledge' of "God" are some very nice (maybe

plausible) ideas,<br>some my own, some borrowed, but who is

"God", I do not know !<br>Oh, I do know a drop and I do

know the Ocean,<br>I the drop and HE the ocean

,<br>Fancy ideas indeed, lull me into the belief,<br>that I

know him,<br>Sorry pal, "God" or whatever you

are,<br>not so easily will I be eased into illusions,<br>of

my own making,<br>Until I really know you, but so

opportunity to learn to grow, to understand... <br>Further,

you say: "Your past was choosing". Who is this past?

Who has chosen your past? Who has created it?<br>You

are in the process of continually creating your

reality through your words, thoughts and deeds and

therefore, YOU have to face your own karma. <br>Do you want

to say: "You haven't created it?" Or do you even

want to blame God for creating it, to play his leela

with you? Get responsible for yourself,

but I, me, myself and noone else. Secondly, I haven't

chosen a prophecy, I merely agree with many things of it

and do not like untruth, superstitions and fear

concepts.<br>Thirdly, I am not bound to choose anything.<br><br>God

would be very poor, if he would have given us only the

illusion of choosing freely instead of doing so really.

prophecies of Nostradame. Everything became true. Until one

many possible futures for you and for everybody. You

can look into the future but it is NOT the future

that MUST occur. It is only one of many possible

futures. Nostradame, like many others, too, has seen one

and wrote it down. Everything happened until a

certain point. Then, the prophecies didn't become true

anymore because of THE DIFFERENT CHOICES that has been

have already stated in a previous post, IT IS THE SAME

WATER. If you speckle one drop of water in the ocean and

wait some days, you will find out that the drop isn't

anymore different from the water. You won't even be able

to locate it. It is one with the ocean and indeed,

it is the ocean. <br>What is God? It is everything
