If we choose the former, Krishna intercedes as he clearly states: <br><br>tesam satata-yuktanam bhajatam priti-purvakam<br>dadami buddhi-yogam tam yena mam upayanti te<br>“To those who are constantly devoted to serving Me with love, I give the understanding by which they can come to Me.” – Bg. 10.10<br><br>If we do not surrender, then the modes of nature take over and we are “Forced to act helplessly” bound up by them. <br><br>na hi kascit ksanam api jatu tisthaty akarma-krt<br>karyate hy avasah karma sarvah prakrti-jair gunaih<br> <br>Everyone is forced to act helplessly according to the qualities he has acquired from the modes of material nature; therefore no one can refrain from doing something, not even for a moment.<br>Bg. 3.5<br><br> The choice is ours at every moment.
