You are my life<br> O Vithal [God]<br>My path is

blocked<br> Father.<br><br>Wicked is Kali<br> and this Kali

age.<br>Untie my fetters<br> Lord Gopal.<br><br>Undo the

shackles<br> of samsara<br> O Narayan.<br>Carry me

securely<br> on your shoulders<br> Mighty One.<br><br>And

Narayan came to me<br> and rescued me.<br>Sailing in his

ship<br> I crossed to the other shore<br> says

joyfully<br> on him<br><br>I give myself to him<br>who never

forgets Ram.<br><br> Rejoice<br> in Ram.<br>Clap your

hands joyfully.<br>You will find the Lord of

Paradise,<br> Lord Banvari.<br><br> Rejoice <br> in

Ram.<br>Sing his name joyfully.<br>Do not let these

brutes<br>make you feel ashamed.<br><br>I love such fortunate

mortals<br>who sing the praises<br> of the Supreme

Brahma.<br><br>Such is the glory<br>of being mortal;<br> never to

everywhere; whithersoever I look, there is<br> He.<br>Maya's

variegated form hath so bewitched<br> the world, that few

know Him.<br>All is God, all is God, there is naught

but<br> God.<br>One string holdeth hundreds and thousands

of<br> beads;<br>God is the thread which runs through

them all.<br>Waves, foam and bubbles cannot be

separate<br> from water.<br>This illusion is the play of the

Supreme Lord;<br>On reflection thou shalt not find it

different<br> from Him.<br>Thou hast taken fleeting phantoms

and dreamy<br> desires as true.<br>My Master hath

awakened in me right<br> thoughts,<br>Thus purifying the

mind and subduing it.<br><br>Reflect on God's

creation, sayeth Namdev,<br> and realize:<br>He is the One

pervading within everyone and<br> everything.<br><br>--
