Guest guest Posted April 5, 2001 Report Share Posted April 5, 2001 jnana vijnana yoga <br><br>dhyana yoga <br><br>siddha yoga <br><br>etc etc......<br><br>sanskrit is a deva bhasha -the language of the gods - vedas and upanishads are written in sanskrit so is patanjali's yoga sutra -<br><br>brahman is a sanskrit word from the root word brih- which means to expand one's consciousness - <br><br><br>the important point is to go back to the SOURCE- <br>THE INNER sEA- the divinity within- <br><br>the Taitriya upanishads say <br><br>" i am more ancient than the radiant gods . i am the first-born of the being. i am the artery of immortality. " <br><br>we are all spiritual pilgrims in this forum and are here to illumine one another. <br><br>the bhagwad gita says -<br><br>fear not<br>what is not real, never was and never will be <br>what is real, always was and cannot be destroyed. <br><br>god /creator alone is real and all else is unreal. <br><br><br>archa-vigraha murthis are not mere idols they are consecreted living -breathing images to the devotee who worships them - they are symbolic representation of ultimate reality -<br><br>is cross just a wooden cross ? does it not stand for something more sacred ? does it not represent the self-sacrifice and redemptive love of christ for mankind? <br><br>the theme of the club picture is most of the time represented by OM or AUM?
